The research was documented in the Korean Journal of Family Medicine accounted for the data of around 240 adolescent individuals. As part of the investigation, the participants were introduced to self-filled questionnaires that asked the consumption of coffee on a daily basis.

A comprehensive anxiety evaluator known as Beck Anxiety Inventory was used to assign a score to anxiety levels. Additionally, a number of other factors (resulting consequences) were also observed. For example, the amount of stress, the prevalence of depression, etc.

Once the study was underway, other habits such as smoking, eating food likely to trigger anxiety were kept under control.

At the conclusion of the research, scientists found there was a link between coffee and anxiety. The more the consumption of the former, the more likely the latter condition would worsen. Even to the point, where findings showed that even one cup of coffee causes anxiety.
