Scientists have identified three deadly habits responsible for early deaths

One common saying goes: bad habit is far the most difficult thing to leave. Despite knowing that it might be harmful to your health, it simply is tough to break up with it. There is no one bad habit, in fact, the list can consist of numerous activities.

Be it smoking cigarettes, or spending excessive time on social media! You might not know, but a handful of them may be contributing to the ageing process. Scientists have therefore recommended older people to get rid of certain habits that may be detrimental in older age.

To examine what these deadly habits might possibly be, a group of researchers involved themselves in a comprehensive study. They observed the behaviour of a few older individuals and how the behavioural traits may affect their health. At the termination of the study, three deadly habits were identified. Scientists have therefore stressed greatly for old people to leave them as early as possible.

1.Leading a Sedentary Lifestyle

We tend to assume laziness with older individuals who spend most of the time at home sitting or relaxing. If that is the case, experts would argue to break the stereotype!

Often, people who lead a sedentary lifestyle are more prone to illnesses. They may range from obesity to age-related cognition problems. Even to the extent, the findings show that sitting, for the most part, can also lead to frequent mood disruption!

The solution for this bad habit doesn’t ask you to start following a rigorous physical activity schedule. Rather, sacrificing a few minutes daily for a brisk walk can be equally good. Getting up every now and then to take a stroll is a good way to get your heart to function properly.

2.Drinking too much

Research studies have increasingly found alcohol to yield no health benefits whatsoever. In fact, even one drink a day can increase the risk of hypertension. What this really means is that binge drinking is a straightforward NO in old age.

While few sips once in a while would be okay, caution needs to be taken to not exceed that amount. Particularly, because there are a number of health concerns associated with drinking heavily. Damage to the liver might be one, high blood pressure is another. Adding to that, alcohol is also related to decreasing the overall lifespan of an individual

3.Smoking Tobacco

We know for a fact that smoking is one of the deadliest habits known to human beings. There is no one age when you should stop smoking instead the habit should be cut off at the earliest.

One common observation made was that missing out on daily cigarette smoke may seem too difficult. Especially for older people who have had been smoking for a considerable while. Yet, in no way that justifies the habit. Sgdg

Studies would state that tobacco is linked with a reduced lifespan because it increases the risk of a number of health complications. Simply put, smokers are more vulnerable to heart disease, diabetes and stroke.

It should, therefore, not come as a surprise that old people need to stop smoking before the habit becomes fatal.
