Or probably, you’re too afraid to seek medication for acne removal because of the side-effects or the reactions that the medicines may cause? Right? If that’s the case then you have landed yourself on the right page, because in the following article, we’re going to discuss some of the home-remedies which will help you in getting rid of those scars.

What is Acne?

Acne is a disorder of the hair follicles which are associated with sebaceous glands. Areas of the body, which are also known as gland-rich areas, are affected the most by acne i.e. face, shoulders, back or the chest. Acne has some types as well:

  • Acne Vulgaris
  • Acne Congobata
  • Acne fulminans
  • Acne Mechanica
  • Halogen Acne
  • Excoriated Acne

Some of these are mild and some of these are severe forms of acne. For example: Acne conglobata is a severe form of acne while acne vulgaris is a common skin disorder.

1) Aloe Vera

Use Aloe Vera Moisturizer for acne scars removal. It is one of the natural home-remedy.  Aloe Vera contains salicylic acid and sulfur which are effective for the treatment of Acne Scars. Most of the skin ointments, lotions, creams or treatments contain the gel of Aloe Vera.

Where to get Aloe Vera from?

If you have a plant at home then you can easily get Aloe Vera from there. Just get the gel by scraping it. Keep applying it two days per day. Aloe Vera can be bought from any of your nearest stores too but before you buy it, make sure that you buy the original one.

2) Green Tea

Green Tea is another anti-oxidant. Studies have shown that applying green tea on the areas of your skin can be really helpful in curing the acne. This is because of the presence of flavonoids and tannins which help in fighting the bacteria and prevents the acne from further inflammation. The antioxidant epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) is a very effective anti-oxidant of green tea who are facing acne.

The process of applying green tea is simple. Boil green tea for a few minutes in the water and after cooling it down, use a cotton ball and apply it on your skin and wait until it gets dried.

You can also make a mask of Green Tea by adding honey.

3) Honey and Cinnamon Mask

Although, studies don’t show that Honey and Cinnamon Mask can actually fight with acne. But because there is the presence of antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties in this mask, thus it is found effective. However, there are no studies available which may show that such a mask can treat acne scars.

How to make a mask?

Take two tablespoons of honey and one tablespoon of cinnamon. Mix them together until a paste is formed. Cleanse your face and apply the mask for 10-15 minutes. Scrape the mask from your face and let it get dried.

4) Reduce Dairy Products and Stress

It is said that dairy products can be a cause of changing of hormones and thus reduction of these products can help in getting rid of acne.

Another cause of Acne is said to be of stress. During high phases of stress, sebum production is increased which results in acne or increases it.

In order to reduce your acne, try reducing stress. Focus on getting more sleep and do some physical exercises for reducing stress or take deep breaths. This, we hope, will be helpful in getting your acne reduced.
